About Harbor Oaks Hospital

Harbor Oaks Hospital respects the dignity of each individual patient, and cares deeply about making a lasting difference. Treatment philosophy comes from experience. The staff knows that people can change and that chemical dependency and mental illness are treatable diseases. Because substance abuse and mental health disorders often co-occur, treatment programs are designed to treat the whole person.

Adult Services

Harbor Oaks Hospital offers Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs for adults ages 18 and older. Under the medical direction of a psychiatrist, each patient receives an individualized treatment plan, which is implemented by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, educational specialists and activity therapists.

Daily program provides a controlled and structured environment for patients having emotional and behavioral difficulties. Through individual, group, family and expressive therapies, patients learn healthy behaviors to cope with problems.

Co-Occurring Disorders Unit

Harbor Oaks Hospital provides a safe and supportive environment for adult patients presenting with a primary substance abuse disorder as well as psychiatric symptoms such as anxiety or depression. Many adults who suffer from emotional disorders, abuse alcohol and/or illicit drugs as a means of coping with their emotional problems. The Co-Occurring disorders patient requires coordinated use of psychiatric and substance abuse interventions.

Children and Adolescent Services

Harbor Oaks Hospital offers inpatient treatment for children ages 5 to 12 and adolescents ages 13 to 17. Under the medical direction of a child/adolescent psychiatrist, each patient receives an individualized treatment plan which is implemented by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, educational specialists and activity therapists and discharge planners.
