"When I bought my great grandmother's house that had been in the family for over 60 years, a historic 1885 brick building in the Lemp District on Cherokee Street, I knew I had a lot of work in store for me. When I found a leak in the Spring of 2017band the start of non-toxic mold I knew I needed a plumber's help ASAP. Codes being what they are in the City of Saint Louis, this wasn't something I could do on my own nor did I want to. My mother, who had worked with Authority Plumbing & Drain in the past, recommended them. She had them help her with her house in Kirkwood and was shocked that they recommended a cheaper option and ways to prolong what she had instead of replacing it. I am frankly a bit wary of home improvement contractors as there are countless horror stories out there, but my mother has good judgement and I trusted Authority Plumbing & Drain as a result of her recommendation. Man, was she right! James and Jeannie were amazing. Great communication. Reasonable pricing. They helped me facilitate other work outside of plumbing that needed to be done to finish the bathrooms and kitchens properly. The situations they were dealing with was unique. An 1885 house that was never built to accommodate electric or plumbing and needed them both updated at once. Authority Plumbing and Drain was cost efficient, honest, ethical and were great communicators. As I intend to invest in more houses in the area in the future to help restore Saint Louis City to its former glory, I'm intending to work with them on all future projects and I highly recommend them to anyone else with any plumbing needs.
