New Spirit Health, located in Mesa, Arizona, provides mental health and substance recovery care to adults 18 years old and older. Practice owner and Family Nurse Practitioner, John Risi, has been practice addiction medicine for over 7 years and is passionate about patient care.

John offers a holistic, patient-centered approach to medicine. His compassionate care ensures patients avoid feeling like their addiction defines them and benefit from personalized treatment that optimizes their chances of recovery.

New Spirit Health provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), a proven program combining Suboxone (buprenorphine-naloxone) medication with behavioral therapy and/or motivational interviewing. John's approach helps patients through the often unpleasant and challenging withdrawal process so they achieve long-lasting sobriety.

Most consultations take place remotely using secure, encrypted Tebra telehealth. John offers telemedicine in order to conveniently reach people wherever they are. In-person visits are offered on a case-by-case basis.
