Dr. Tayyab graduated magna cum laude (with high honors) from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a bachelor's degree in biology. He earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where he completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency. Dr. Tayyab also finished a spine surgery fellowship at the Spine Institute of New York at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, New York City.
