About Henry Tseng, DPM

With his expertise in complementary and alternative medicine, board-certified podiatrist Henry Tseng, DPM, has been known for helping patients find innovative solutions for pain relief and healing for more than 20 years. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Tseng earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. After completing a rigorous internship and foot and ankle surgical residency, Dr. Tseng went on to become board certified through the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry.
Dr. Tseng has received additional training in medical acupuncture and specializes in combining Eastern and Western medicine to give each patient the best podiatric treatment possible. In most cases, Dr. Tseng tries all conservative treatment methods first before discussing surgery.
Because of his expertise in alternative medicine, Dr. Tseng treats the patient as a whole, providing natural treatment methods, such as herbal medicine and acupuncture, over harmful pain pills and cortisone shots. Dr. Tseng even invented Mighty Balm, a pain-relieving cream made of all-natural herbal components, including capsaicin, Ginkgo biloba, chamomile, and aloe vera.
If surgery is needed, Dr. Tseng uses minimally invasive modern methods to make essential repairs and restore full function to the foot and ankle. While Dr. Tseng can perform all types of podiatric procedures, he's an expert in bunion correction surgeries that have a high success rate and very low rates of recurrence
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Chinese (including Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese), Dr. Tseng can care for patients who tend to struggle with language barriers. Dr. Tseng spends time with patients during appointments, educating them about their condition and involving patients in every step of the treatment decision-making process. He provides referrals to specialists and general practitioners for more complex internal medicine issues if needed.
When he's away from the clinic, Dr. Tseng takes annual trips to Mexico with his church to care for underserved populations suffering from foot deformities. Dr. Tseng also regularly visits Asia and Africa to care for patients in need of medical attention. He spends extensive time lecturing in major hospitals throughout Asia and China, teaching other foot surgeons how to perform lower extremity surgeries.
